The Fire Suppression Tool (FST) is a portable, non-pressurized fire suppression device designed for fast, simple deployment during the early stages of a fire.
The FST activates manually using a two-pin system. Approximately 8 seconds after activation, the device begins releasing an SFE powdered aerosol that expands throughout the affected space, suppressing flames and rapidly reducing temperatures without depleting oxygen. One FST can provide coverage for an appropriately enclosed space of up to 5,300 cubic feet, with an aerosol discharge lasting approximately 35 seconds.
Unlike traditional water-based suppression methods, the FST uses aerosol technology to suppress fire without introducing large amounts of water into the space. The aerosol is non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-conductive, helping make the FST suitable for environments containing electronics, equipment and other sensitive property.
The FST can be used across a wide range of applications, including homes, commercial and office buildings, farms, hospitals, marine environments, public facilities and emergency response settings.
Its portable design also allows the FST to be deployed toward the affected area rather than requiring a user to remain next to the fire while continuously operating a handheld suppression device. This can provide valuable time during the critical early stages of a fire while emergency responders are on the way.

The Fire Suppression Tool (FST) combines simple manual activation with condensed aerosol fire suppression. Once deployed, the aerosol spreads through an appropriately enclosed space to suppress the fire, rapidly reduce heat and interrupt the combustion process without depleting oxygen.
Locate the FST and evaluate the scene. Identify the safest place to deploy the device nearest to the seat of the fire.
Firmly pull the R Pin straight out of the device. This unlocks the Igniter Pin and prepares the FST for activation.
Pull the Igniter Pin straight up and completely out of the device to activate the FST.
Once activated, the LED light begins blinking and the 8-second countdown starts. Immediately deploy the FST near the seat of the fire.
After deployment, keep the room as closed or sealed as possible to contain the aerosol. Do not ventilate at this stage — allow the FST time to do its job.
