Slinger, WI – [December 17, 2024] – Fire Suppression Solutions is pleased to report another successful deployment of the Fire Suppression Tool (FST), this time during a structure fire in Nasewaupee, Wisconsin.
On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the Nasewaupee Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of a residential fire, with Southern Door Fire Chief Rich Olson as the first responding unit. Upon arrival, Chief Olson deployed a Portable Fire Suppression Tool (FST), a state-of-the-art fire suppression device capable of controlling flames in confined spaces within 35 seconds.
The FST, donated by the Wisconsin Masonic Lodge, helped slow the fire’s progression, buying valuable time for incoming fire crews to arrive and fully suppress the flames. Nasewaupee Fire Chief Jacob Schartner credited the tool with aiding suppression efforts and minimizing overall damage to the structure.
“This incident highlights how the Fire Suppression Tool serves as a critical first response option for emergency personnel,” said Mark Mock with Fire Suppression Solutions. “Even in cases where full fire suppression teams are still en route, the FST helps contain fires and limits damage before additional resources arrive.”
While Chief Olson noted that traditional training with the FST is not feasible due to its automatic deployment mechanism, he confirmed that the device functioned exactly as designed during the emergency response.
